Maanpohja tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tupolski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Maanpohja somewhat.

Maanpohja takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Maanpohja looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tupolski is fending him off so far but Maanpohja persists. Nope, Tupolski circles away and we're back to standing.

Maanpohja throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tupolski's waist but Tupolski gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Maanpohja off to one side.

Tupolski's coach down at Jitsu Jim was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Tupolski's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

I was talking to Maanpohja's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Tupolski lands a big knee! That's hurt Maanpohja! Oh, he's all over the place! Tupolski lands another knee that sends Maanpohja to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!

In his post fight interview, Katurian Tupolski started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
