PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Head Coach (ranked 3578 p4p, 358 weight class) and Anselmo Harris (ranked 3760 p4p, 374 weight class). Anselmo Harris will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 23 - 3, fighting out of Montreal, Head Coach!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Anselmo Harris!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coach moves forwards but Harris connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Coach takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Harris defending well as Coach loads up on a big left hand.
Coach throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Coach throws a nice looking combination but Harris bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Coach throws a sloppy head kick and Harris moves out of range easily.
Coach tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Harris was well out of range. Poor timing from Coach.
Harris looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Harris throws a right hand that Coach ducks under and follows up with a left that Coach also avoids with ease.
Coach tries to clinch there but Harris circles away.
Harris keeps the fight on the outside.
Coach moves out of range of the strikes.
Harris lands with an uppercut that bounces Coach off the cage and back into range.
Harris misses the shot to the body.
Harris falls off balance throwing a combination
and Coach counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Harris is lucky that one didn't land flush.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Head Coach is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Coach drives through and clinches with Harris against the cage.

Harris breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Harris fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Coach avoids it really well and circles away.
Coach lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Harris is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Coach is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Harris.

Coach lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Harris.
Harris is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Coach to keep the fight standing.

Head Coach has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anselmo Harris.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Harris jumps guard but Coach turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Coach is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Harris can do to turn this around?

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Harris looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Coach has picked Harris up and slammed him! Harris can't keep hold of the triangle and Coach manages to pass to side control!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Coach has Harris pressed against the cage. He pushes Harris back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Coach throws a beautiful elbow that sends Harris crashing to the floor! Coach piles on the pressure with more strikes! Harris is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Head Coach!
An out of breath Head Coach thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
