The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Whitfield closes the distance and clinches.
Pavle jumps guard but Whitfield stands there with Pavle around his waist. Pavle gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Pavle gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Pavle wants to pass the guard but Whitfield is defending well.
Pavle seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Whitfield knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pavle on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Whitfield is looking to control Pavle's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Whitfield avoid being mounted?
Whitfield is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Pavle is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Pavle is looking for a sweep. Whitfield is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Whitfield wants to control from the top but Pavle keeps moving.
Pavle tries to land a sweep but no joy.
