Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Saul Tigh (ranked 1170 p4p, 55 weight class) and Aki Hiko (ranked 1090 p4p, 54 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Saul Tigh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aki Hiko!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tigh misses with an uppercut.
Hiko slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Tigh lands a right hook to the body.
Tigh tries to land a front kick but Hiko steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Hiko throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Tigh throws the kick towards the body but Hiko avoids it.
Hiko looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The fighters circling - Tigh throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Tigh dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hiko looks to land a left hand but Tigh moved out of range nicely.
A left and a right from Tigh both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Aki Hiko has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hiko uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tigh.
Hiko fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tigh manages to avoid it.
Hiko throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Tigh throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hiko sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Tigh misses with a double jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hiko takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Tigh throws a hook to the side of Hiko's head but Hiko sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tigh connects with an inside leg kick.
Tigh swings widly with a right hand
and Hiko counters with a nice body shot.
Tigh dips to his left and cracks Hiko with an uppercut!
Hiko walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Tigh checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Tigh scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Tigh on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Tigh slips under a jab.

Tigh lands a left and a right that send Hiko crashing to the mat, dazed. Tigh thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Hiko scores with a nice right hand.
Tigh takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Tigh cracks Hiko with a good jab.

That has opened up Aki Hiko's cut even more.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tigh misses with a looping left.
Tigh misses the shot to the body.
Hiko looks to throw the jab but Tigh is out of range.
Hiko avoids the head kick by Tigh.
Tigh throws a leg kick but Hiko moved away.
A combination from Tigh does no damage.
Tigh throws a shot from downtown. Hiko moves away and avoids it.
Hiko misses with a body shot.
As Hiko backs away, Tigh returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Hiko on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Saul Tigh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hiko moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Hiko is rocked!
Tigh connects with a stiff jab that staggers Hiko - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Saul Tigh!
