PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boogie Rollins (ranked 1231 p4p, 180 weight class) and Petr Antonovich (ranked 1644 p4p, 241 weight class). Rollins kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Fish Fight- King Khan and BBQ Show. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Petr Antonovich!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Skip Squint and Topper Green.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Antonovich scores with a nice head shot.
Rollins swings for the body but Antonovich moves out of range.
A jab from Antonovich finds it's way through Rollins's defenses.

enabling Antonovich to counter with a crisp jab.
Rollins takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
A telegraphed right hand from Antonovich misses the target.
Antonovich moves into range and connects with a jab.
Antonovich throws a hook but Rollins avoids it easily.
Antonovich has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Rollins is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Rollins is looking to score with low kicks.

Rollins uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Antonovich.

Antonovich gets caught napping as Rollins dives in and scores a takedown. Antonovich manages to retain guard.
Antonovich is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Rollins dives into side control.

Antonovich is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Rollins asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Rollins postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Boogie Rollins is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Antonovich throws a lazy right hand but Rollins sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Antonovich might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
