Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Centino (ranked 2485 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Bruce (ranked 8109 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arthur Centino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robert Bruce!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Centino has managed to clinch.
Centino looking to throw knees to the head but Bruce is blocking nicely.

Centino gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Bruce regains guard.

Centino seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Centino definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bruce wants to stand and escape but Centino is having none of it.

Bruce is working an open guard so Centino takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Bruce gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Centino.
Bruce fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Centino connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Bruce tries to score with a low kick but Centino moves his leg out of the way.

Centino shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Bruce is defending against the submission attempts here by Centino.

Centino stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Centino scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Centino feints a jab promting Bruce to slip. Centino then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Bruce slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Centino closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bruce did well to prevent Centino getting side control.

Bruce has one foot on Centino's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Bruce throws a hook but Centino blocks it.

Centino closes the distance and pushes Bruce back into the cage.

Centino manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Bruce would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Centino wants to sweep here but Bruce controlling him for the moment.
Centino is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Bruce stands and steps away. Centino gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Robert Bruce seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Centino closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Centino lands in his opponent's guard.

Centino gets to his feet - Bruce follows without any prompting.

Centino is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Centino escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bruce gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Centino holds on and takes a little breather.

Centino has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Bruce has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Centino drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bruce gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Centino shoots for a double leg takedown but Bruce sprawls well. He's pushed Centino's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Well Centino has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
