Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mr Sandman (ranked 3027 p4p, 278 weight class) and Frank Mir (ranked 4703 p4p, 407 weight class). Sandman's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Enter Sandman. The key to victory for Mr Sandman has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Mir.
Mir takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Sandman lands with a good body shot.
Mir wants to clinch
and Mir takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Frank Mir has been cut.
Mir swings for the body but Sandman moves out of range.
Mir ducks under a wild hook from Sandman.
A jab from Sandman finds it's way through Mir's defenses.
Sandman throws a jab but it's blocked by Mir.
Mir doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Mir looks winded!
Mir takes one to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mir goes for a double leg but Sandman avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Sandman continues to drive forward.
Mir takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

That has opened up Frank Mir's cut even more.
Mir throws a nice looking combination but Sandman bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Sandman throwing a counter right hand but Mir manages to avoid it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sandman lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Mir misses with a lunging right hand
and Sandman counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Mir to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Sandman!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Mr Sandman!
After winning the bout, Mr Sandman thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
