The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Ivan Kurochkin and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkov throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sveizy stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Volkov counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Sveizy lands with a shot to the body.
Sveizy tries to score a power double leg takedown but Volkov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sveizy somewhat.
Volkov throws a shot to the body.
Sveizy is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Sveizy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sveizy closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Volkov did well to prevent Sveizy getting side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Volkov gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Volkov lands a nice hook to Sveizy's body. Sveizy takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Volkov has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
