Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jose Diaz (ranked 1601 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Butabi (ranked 363 p4p, 0 weight class). Butabi has chosen Make That Money as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz takes a body punch but keeps moving.
A decent looking cross lands there for Butabi.

Butabi fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Diaz to the ground. Butabi is now in Diaz's guard.
Diaz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Diaz had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Butabi defends it easily.
Butabi throwing strikes but missing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Butabi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Butabi stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Diaz has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Butabi manages to get his head free but now Diaz has transitioned to an armbar! Butabi grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Diaz! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
