With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ike Ibeabuchi!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tor Iceberg!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Dmitry Maklakov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ibeabuchi throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Iceberg with the counter takedown but Ibeabuchi avoids it easily.
We've been told by Ibeabuchi's head coaches at Just Scrap MMA and BJJ that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Ibeabuchi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Iceberg misses with a takedown attempt
and Ibeabuchi counters with a nice uppercut.


It looks like Tor Iceberg has been cut.
Iceberg shoots in for a double leg but Ibeabuchi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ibeabuchi was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Ibeabuchi misses with a combination

and Iceberg counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ibeabuchi won't be happy with that.
Iceberg sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Ibeabuchi is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Ibeabuchi can't do much from the bottom here.
Ibeabuchi is looking for a sweep.
Iceberg throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Iceberg controlling the position from side mount.
Iceberg wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ibeabuchi keeps working.
Ibeabuchi is looking to reverse the position.
Ibeabuchi on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ibeabuchi tries to get out of the position.
Ibeabuchi is trying to escape the position but Iceberg is controlling the position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Ibeabuchi takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Iceberg has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The referee asks Iceberg politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Iceberg prefers to stall for the moment though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ibeabuchi struggling a bit here.
Ibeabuchi is trying to escape the position but Iceberg is controlling the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Ibeabuchi swings for the body but Iceberg moves out of range.

No luck for Iceberg with that takedown attempt.
Ike Ibeabuchi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tor Iceberg.
Iceberg takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

That has opened up Tor Iceberg's cut even more.
Iceberg tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ibeabuchi defends well and Iceberg ends up having to push Ibeabuchi into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Ibeabuchi cracks Iceberg with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Iceberg looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Ibeabuchi finish him?


Iceberg is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ibeabuchi scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Iceberg looks winded!
Ibeabuchi flashes Iceberg a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Iceberg's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Iceberg crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Ibeabuchi punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ike Ibeabuchi!
Ike Ibeabuchi retains his heavyweight title!
