The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Bruno Lombardi and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dang throws a series of punches but Zavyalov moves out of range.
Dang takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Dang throws a low kick but Zavyalov moves out of range easily.
Zavyalov has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Midnight MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Dang fails with a takedown attempt.
A nice leg kick lands there from Zavyalov.

Dang swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Dang tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Dang has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Dang there as he acknowledges the shot.
Dang fails with the takedown.
Vladimir Zavyalov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hangy Dang.
Zavyalov lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Hangy Dang has been cut.

Zavyalov lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Zavyalov misses with a two punch combination.
Zavyalov stalks Dang and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Dang's face. Dang staggers backwards, shaken.
Zavyalov throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dang stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Dang tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Zavyalov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Zavyalov looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Zavyalov stuffs the takedown attempt from Dang. Dang gets slowly back to his feet.
Zavyalov lands a body shot.
Zavyalov moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dang is looking to clinch but Zavyalov is avoiding it.
Zavyalov feints and then cracks Dang's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dang down.
Zavyalov has closed the distance and engaged Dang in a clinch.
Dang breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Zavyalov throws a hook but Dang blocks it.
Zavyalov scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Zavyalov connects with a nice short shot to Dang's temple.

Dang is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dang on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Zavyalov lands a nice forearm strike.
Zavyalov connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Dang some visible discomfort.
Zavyalov cracks Dang with a big elbow.
Zavyalov scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Dang to see if he's OK.

Zavyalov lands a big left to the face of Dang, bouncing his head like a basketball. Another shot from Zavyalov and another - Dang is out! Zavyalov stands up and salutes his fans, who are going crazy in the stands.

A very excited looking Vladimir Zavyalov made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
