Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Xavier Frost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Robert Kortig !
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Frost darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Kortig throws a right hand that misses
and Frost counters with a nice uppercut.
Frost on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Kortig steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Frost.
Frost throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Kortig counter with a right hand.
Nice defenses there by Frost.
Frost takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Frost showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kortig .
Frost is looking to counter punch.
Frost throws a big shot that misses.
Frost ducks under a wild hook from Kortig .
That's one minute gone in the round.
Frost misses with a left hand
and Frost takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kortig sends Frost crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Kortig is motioning to the referee to let Frost up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Frost is rocked!
It looks like Xavier Frost has been cut.
A punch combination from Kortig misses.
An attempted straight right counter from Frost misses the target.
Kortig cracks Frost with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Frost looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Kortig finish him?
Oh Frost is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Frost takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Kortig jabs Frost to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Frost seems to have got his legs back now.
Kortig lands a big uppercut and Frost crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Frost looks OK. Kortig waves Frost back to his feet!
Frost throws a jab when Kortig was well out of range.
Kortig connects with a body shot that sends Frost's belly button to the back.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kortig lands a jab to Frost's midsection.
Frost misses with a hook.
A nice side step and Kortig releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Frost throws an off balance right hand
and Kortig counters with a straight right hand.
Frost throws a lazy right hand but Kortig sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kortig ! But no joy.
Frost moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Kortig lands a jab to the nose.
Kortig throws an overhand right that drops Frost like a sack of potatoes! Kortig dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robert Kortig !
