PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Aricido (ranked 4736 p4p, 175 weight class) and Jesus Ortiz (ranked 3237 p4p, 129 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aricido is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ortiz sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Aricido misses with an uppercut.
Aricido blocks a leg kick.
Ortiz slips under a jab.
Aricido tries to clinch but Ortiz moves out of range.
Ortiz attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Aricido seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Ortiz looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Aricido gets tackled into the cage by Ortiz. Ortiz maintains the clinch.
Aricido tries to break the clinch but Ortiz is controlling the position.
Aricido blocks an uppercut.
Aricido is trying to break the clinch but Ortiz has him pressed against the cage.
Aricido wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ortiz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Aricido shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ortiz defends it nicely.

Ortiz drops Aricido onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Aricido is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Ortiz creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Aricido with a big uppercut! Aricido tries to clinch up but Ortiz pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Aricido to the mat! Aricido covers up and Ortiz unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
