Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gator Waldo (ranked 4099 p4p, 142 weight class) and Walker Ranger (ranked 5935 p4p, 109 weight class). Waldo's entrance music is Gunna - Sold Out Dates ft Lil Baby. A fine choice. Ranger has chosen Screw you, We're from Texas as his entrance music. Walker Ranger has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Gator Waldo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Walker Ranger!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ranger bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Waldo throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ranger was covering up waiting for the punch and Waldo finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Waldo lands a couple of digs.
Ranger is looking to stand up but Waldo isn't so interested in that idea.
Ranger scores with a short punch from the bottom.
Waldo slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Waldo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ranger has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Waldo has managed to get both his arms back between Ranger's legs - danger averted.
Waldo has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Waldo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ranger wants to stand and escape but Waldo is having none of it.
Waldo passes Ranger's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Ranger is desperately trying to improve his position but Waldo has a good base and remains in mount.
Waldo controlling the position easily from mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Waldo is landing with some decent strikes but Ranger is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Waldo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Waldo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Waldo lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Ranger's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Waldo has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ranger's face.

It looks like Walker Ranger has been cut.
Ranger is desperately trying to improve his position but Waldo has a good base and remains in mount.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Waldo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Waldo blocks Ranger's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

Waldo is working for a guillotine from mount but Ranger frees his head quite easily.
Ranger squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Waldo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Ranger is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Waldo cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Waldo throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Ranger shoots in looking for a takedown. Waldo tries to sprawl out of it but Ranger keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Waldo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ranger lands a jab-cross combination.
Ranger works over Waldo's head and body with a nice combination.
Walker Ranger is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ranger throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Waldo throws a jab when Ranger was well out of range.
Waldo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ranger can do to turn this around?
Ranger slips under a jab from Waldo.
A nice side step and Ranger releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Ranger pushes Waldo away with a front kick.
Waldo swings widly with a right hand
and Ranger counters with a nice kick to the body.
Ranger tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Waldo lands with a hook. Ranger tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ranger tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gator Waldo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Waldo steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Ranger. That one must have hurt.
Ranger throws the kick towards the body but Waldo avoids it.
Waldo throws a jab but it's blocked by Ranger.
Ranger lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
A combination from Ranger does no damage.
Walker Ranger seems to be getting the better of the standup.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A telegraphed right hand from Waldo misses the target.
Ranger replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Waldo blocks it well.
A swing and a miss from Waldo.
Ranger throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Waldo misses the jab.

Waldo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ranger is trying to defend but Waldo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Ranger manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Waldo keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Waldo gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Ranger will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Waldo not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Waldo is pushing down on Ranger's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ranger is fighting to maintain full guard but Waldo has managed to sneak the leg through.

Waldo postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Ranger tries to escape but Waldo is in control.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Ranger is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Gator Waldo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Waldo lands a decent elbow from side control.
Ranger bucks up and tries to throw Waldo off but instead Waldo has got his back!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Walker Ranger's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Gator Waldo!
Gator Waldo thanked the fans post fight for their support.
In defeat, Walker Ranger stepped up to the mic, saying 'Texas is still the best, and I'll remember this Alamo...'.
