Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Hope (ranked 3226 p4p, 426 weight class) and Asko Asinen (ranked 4197 p4p, 525 weight class). Hope comes to the cage accompanied by Welcome to the Jungle. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asinen has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Asinen there as he acknowledges the shot.
Asinen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hope throws out the jab.
Asinen throws a big counter head kick but Hope avoids it with no problem.
Hope is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Asinen.
Hope throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Asinen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Asinen looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

Hope takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Asinen shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Hope lands a hook to the side of the head.

Asinen rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hope connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Asinen gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Hope gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Billy Hope!
