Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mee Vattalles (ranked 1562 p4p, 193 weight class) and Joy Rones (ranked 700 p4p, 91 weight class). Vattalles's entrance music is JVG - Matti & Teppo . A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Vattalles throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rones's waist but Rones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vattalles off to one side.

We've been hearing good reports from Vattalles's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

It looks like Mee Vattalles has been cut.
Rones has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rones is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Vattalles flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Vattalles is out cold! Rones holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
