Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Davey Tyson (ranked 24774 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Banal (ranked 7968 p4p, 638 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Davey Tyson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andre Banal!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Alyssa Summers and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banal lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Banal lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Tyson tries to close the distance and clinch but Banal swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Tyson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Tyson fails with the takedown
letting Banal counter with a right hand.
Banal connects with the punch.

Banal gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tyson to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Tyson throwing strikes from guard but Banal blocks nicely.

Banal working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tyson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tyson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Banal looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Tyson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Banal on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tyson trying to control the position from guard on top but Banal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Banal lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tyson is trying to keep Banal in close.
Banal sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tyson's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Banal is working for a kimura but Tyson is defending it quite comfortably.
Banal is keen to just control but Tyson is a slippery customer.
Banal is looking to advance position but Tyson won't allow it.

Banal looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Tyson trying to control but Banal postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Banal works his way into side control.
Banal is looking to take a break and control but Tyson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Banal thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Tyson is looking for a sweep.

Banal tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Banal has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tyson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Banal's best efforts.
Banal trying to control the action but Tyson is working from the bottom.
Tyson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tyson tries to get out of the position.
Tyson trying to hold on to Banal's head to control him but Banal postures up.
Tyson wants to get back to full guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Tyson is looking for a sweep. Banal is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Banal is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andre Banal dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Davey Tyson's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Banal lands with a cross.
Banal slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
A lazy left from Banal finds it's target.
Banal lands a slapping body shot.
Banal keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Banal gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tyson to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Banal is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Tyson rolls with it to try and escape but Banal cranks on the arm and Tyson is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
