Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cool Luke (ranked 4650 p4p, 431 weight class) and James Smith (ranked 4195 p4p, 400 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cool Luke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Smith!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luke thuds his shin into the meat of Smith's side.
Luke bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Luke as he jumps to the side.
A nice leg kick lands there from Luke.
Cool Luke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Luke throws a low kick but Smith avoids it.
Smith looks for a takedown but Luke sprawls well.
Smith shoots in but Luke avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Cool Luke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Smith.
Smith stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Luke.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice takedown defense from Luke. No joy for Smith on that attempt.
Smith fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Luke throws a low kick, looking for Smith's leg but Smith calmly moves out of range.
A thudding body kick lands there by Luke!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Luke turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Luke falls off balance throwing a combination
and Smith decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Luke's guard.
Luke is wriggling around but Smith manages to pass to half guard.
Smith misses with a head shot. Luke uses the momentum to regain guard.
Smith passes Luke's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smith is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Luke sees it coming and defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Smith thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Smith has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Luke defend it? Smith steps over the head and cranks it - Luke is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Smith!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). James Smith!
