Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Robert Crowe!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rowe misses with a body kick.

Crowe instigates a clinch.
Rowe is looking to control Crowe's arms but Crowe gets an underhook and turns him. Now Rowe has his back to the cage.

Rowe fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Crowe lands a shoulder strike.
Rowe throws an elbow that misses.
Rowe is trying to pull guard but Crowe turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Rowe tries to pull guard but Crowe forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charley Rowe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Crowe throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Rowes head.
Crowe pushes Rowe back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rowe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Rowe dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Crowe. That did some damage!
Crowe throws a head kick but Rowe moves out of range.
Rowe could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Crowe moves into range and clinches up with Rowe.

Rowe has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Crowe after a bit of a struggle.
Rowe fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Rowe jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Crowe walks away with a smile on his face. Rowe gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Crowe ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Crowe is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rowe sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Crowe instigates a clinch.
Crowe lands with a light punch inside.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Crowe lands a left hand.
Crowe is looking to break free of the clinch but Rowe has double underhooks.
Rowe jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Crowe walks away with a smile on his face. Rowe gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Crowe moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.


It looks like Charley Rowe has been cut.
Robert Crowe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crowe throws a right hand that Rowe ducks under and follows up with a left that Rowe also avoids with ease.
Crowe tries to clinch up but Rowe circles away and keeps his distance.

Rowe takes one to the chin there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Crowe throws a series of strikes that have Rowe backpedaling.
Crowe misses with a double jab.
Rowe tried to counter with a leg kick but Crowe avoided it.

Crowe clinches.
Crowe lands a shot to the body.

Rowe's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Crowe will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A right-left combo lands from Crowe.
Rowe dodges the punch combination from Crowe.
Crowe moves out of range of the leg kick from Rowe.
Crowe is looking for the big counter here.
Crowe lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rowe circles away quickly and effectively.

Crowe blocks a low kick nicely.
Crowe tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rowe manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
It looked like Rowe was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Crowe gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Rowe counters with a two punch combo.
Crowe looks winded!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Crowe!
Rowe throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Crowe keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Crowe throws a sloppy head kick and Rowe moves out of range easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Crowe looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Rowe throws a solid leg kick but Crowe takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Rowe.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Crowe checks a leg kick.
Rowe fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Crowe checks it well.

Crowe tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rowe manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Crowe tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Crowe looks to land a combination. Rowe sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rowe tries a low kick but Crowe avoids it.

Crowe closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Rowe manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Crowe keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Rowe tries to pull guard but Crowe won't allow it.
Rowe fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Rowe successfully pulls guard.
Crowe throwing strikes from guard but Rowe blocks nicely.

Rowe looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Crowe looking to sit in guard and control but Rowe gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Robert Crowe dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Charley Rowe's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Crowe lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Crowe.

Crowe has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Crowe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rowe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Crowe is breathing heavily.
Rowe content to control rather than advance.

Crowe has hold of Rowe's hands but Rowe slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Rowe lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Rowe is nestled in close to Crowe, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Crowe is trying to stand.
Crowe wants to stand back up but Rowe manages to pass into side control.

Rowe has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Crowe is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Rowe yanks on the arm and Crowe is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Rowe.
