Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between River William (ranked 25327 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zachary Scedary (ranked 7315 p4p, 0 weight class). William kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Holding on for Life. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
William explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Scedary avoids a punch combination nicely.
Scedary changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Scedary tries to land a front kick but William steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Scedary takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
William shoots in and drives through. Scedary sprawls well.
William lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Scedary feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

William is looking to get back to his feet here but Scedary is keeping cool and he's managed to take William's back.

That was a close round but I would say that River William will probably get the nod.

Scedary turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Scedary manages to end up in side control.

Scedary misses with a takedown attempt - William sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
William will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Scedary is working to tighten his grip on William's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. William has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Scedary is really squeezing tight and eventually William passes out! Scedary breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
