PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Terrence Thornton (ranked 780 p4p, 104 weight class) and Blind Shaman (ranked 1127 p4p, 139 weight class). Thornton comes to the cage accompanied by Pusha T - Exodus 23:1. Shaman is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Shaman's Dream. Blind Shaman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thornton shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Shaman napping and manages to drive through into side control!

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Thornton crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Shaman - the referee stops the clock and Thornton gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Shaman. Thornton manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

We've been hearing that Thornton has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Shaman fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Thornton has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Thornton looks to land a combination. Shaman sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
