Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Cathaway (ranked 141 p4p, 21 weight class) and Daniel Jones (ranked 1826 p4p, 229 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a hook to the body
and Cathaway counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Jones takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jones is defended easily by Cathaway.
Cathaway cracks the inside of Jones's front leg.
Jones throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Jones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cathaway quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Cathaway lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cathaway throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Jones tries for a takedown but Cathaway sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

A punch lands to the side of Jones 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Daniel Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones connects with a body shot that sends Cathaway's belly button to the back.
Cathaway steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jones.
