Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Rogers (ranked 3322 p4p, 308 weight class) and Kal Valen (ranked 3261 p4p, 302 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Valen as Rogers shoots in.
Valen drives through and clinches with Rogers against the cage.
A right hook to the body lands for Valen.
Rogers jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Valen walks away with a smile on his face. Rogers gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Valen connects with the punch.
It looks like Steve Rogers has been cut.
Valen has managed to clinch.
Valen lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Rogers or not.
Rogers is breathing heavily.
Rogers is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Valen to keep the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Rogers. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rogers tries to pull guard but Valen forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Valen softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Valen lands a left hand that snaps the head of Rogers backwards.
Rogers has Valen pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Valen manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Valen lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Valen lands a right hand.
Valen drops Rogers onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Rogers is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Rogers is rocked!
Valen creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Rogers with a big uppercut! Rogers tries to clinch up but Valen pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Rogers to the mat! Rogers covers up and Valen unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Kal Valen!
