Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Otieno (ranked 4997 p4p, 444 weight class) and Mike Ambrose (ranked 4057 p4p, 382 weight class). David Otieno is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Ambrose!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Ambrose.
Ambrose moves out of range of the leg kick from Otieno.
Otieno throws a looping overhand right but Ambrose ducks down to avoid it.
Otieno pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Otieno is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ambrose blocks the body kick.
Ambrose misses with a jab to the body
and Otieno counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Otieno throws a leg kick

and Ambrose counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ambrose.

Otieno is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ambrose defends well.

Otieno throws his legs up looking for a submission but Ambrose uses it to pass to side control.
We've been hearing good reports from Otieno's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Otieno tries to improve position but can't.
Ambrose lands a nice forearm strike.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ambrose tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ambrose has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Otieno tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ambrose wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Ambrose decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Otieno throws a leg kick

and Ambrose counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ambrose.
Ambrose is stalling in the full guard.
Otieno has momentary wrist control but Ambrose slips an elbow through the middle.

Ambrose is sitting in close to Otieno's body. Otieno has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Ambrose is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Ambrose is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Otieno.
