Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Loren Davidson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jordan Pountley!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pountley throws a lazy head kick
and Davidson counters with a left and a right that stings Pountley.
Davidson is looking to clinch but Pountley is avoiding it.

Pountley closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Pountley controlling the position from side mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pountley decides to stand back up. Pountley steps back and let's Davidson get back to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pountley sitting in guard here, content to control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pountley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Pountley drops back looking for a leg! Davidson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Davidson manages to kick Pountley off! Pountley jumps back into Davidson's guard.
Pountley throws a big right hand that misses.
Pountley loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Pountley slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Pountley throwing strikes from guard but Davidson blocks nicely.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Pountley stands up and waves to Davidson to follow him.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Pountley closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pountley lands in his opponent's guard.
Davidson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Pountley controls from within his opponent's guard.
Davidson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pountley on the ground.
It looks like Pountley might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Davidson is looking to stand up but Pountley isn't so interested in that idea.
Pountley is stalling in the full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A bit of stalling here from Pountley.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Pountley turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Davidson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Loren Davidson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Davidson is looking to clinch but Pountley is avoiding it.

Pountley clinches.
Davidson is working for takedown but Pountley is calmly controlling the position for now.
Davidson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Davidson is trying to drag Pountley to the mat but Pountley just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Davidson is looking to take this one to the mat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Davidson is working an open guard so Pountley takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Pountley is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Davidson's half guard.
Pountley takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Pountley stands up from half guard.
Davidson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pountley manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Pountley rushes Davidson and presses him up against the cage.

Pountley tightens his grip and picks Davidson up, before dumping him to the ground. Davidson manages to land in guard.
Pountley is breathing heavily.
Pountley is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Davidson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Pountley works his way to full guard. Good work.
Davidson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Pountley looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Pountley is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Pountley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Davidson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pountley is proving hard to escape from.

Davidson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Davidson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Pountley closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Davidson quickly recovers to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Pountley not landing any meaningful shots this time.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jordan Pountley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Sloppy strikes from Pountley. Those never looked like landing.
Davidson wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Davidson shoots in but Pountley avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Pountley gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Davidson has Pountley pressed against the cage, preventing Pountley from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Pountley is trying to break the clinch but Davidson is controlling him.

Davidson changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Pountley takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Pountley won't allow Davidson to sweep him here.

Davidson wants to stand and escape but Pountley is having none of it.

Pountley shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Pountley was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Davidson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Pountley has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Davidson is trying to escape the position but Pountley is controlling the position.

Pountley decides to stand back up.

Davidson moves into the clinch successfully.
Pountley manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Davidson is trying to force a seperation but Pountley has the dominant position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Davidson is looking to take this one to the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Loren Davidson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Davidson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pountley pulls his leg out and moves away.

Pountley wants to control from the top but Davidson keeps moving.
Loren Davidson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jordan Pountley is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Pountley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
