The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hagoma displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mfer throws out the jab.

Mfer throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Hagoma counters with a nice uppercut.
Mfer lands with a straight right. Hagoma didn't see that one coming.
Mfer throws a push kick but Hagoma slaps the foot to one side.
Mfer missing with a left hand there. Hagoma was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Mfer is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hagoma.
Mfer scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hagoma takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Hagoma bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Mfer's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bull Mfer will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.

Mfer has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
