PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yoshi Fujiwara (ranked 1228 p4p, 152 weight class) and Bruno Niedzwiedzki (ranked 1529 p4p, 179 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Bruno Niedzwiedzki!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fujiwara lands with a good body shot.

Fujiwara throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Niedzwiedzki tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Fujiwara is in Niedzwiedzki's guard.
Fujiwara wants to control from the top but Niedzwiedzki keeps moving.
Fujiwara lands a couple of elbows.
Fujiwara is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fujiwara accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Niedzwiedzki is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Fujiwara cracks Niedzwiedzki with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Fujiwara immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Niedzwiedzki is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Fujiwara!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yoshi Fujiwara!
