The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salgado cracks a nice hook into Bedlaminov's ribs.

Bedlaminov wants to free his trapped foot but Salgado is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Bedlaminov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Salgado has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bedlaminov has managed to get both his arms back between Salgado's legs - danger averted.

Bedlaminov drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Salgado dives on top into guard.

Bedlaminov drops back, looking for a kneebar! Salgado looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Salgado looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Salgado!

Salgado tries for a kimura but Bedlaminov is defending well.

That has opened up Yuri Bedlaminov's cut even more.

Salgado is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bedlaminov knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Salgado has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Yuri Bedlaminov's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Bedlaminov uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Salgado.
Salgado moves away from the strike by Bedlaminov.

Salgado lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Yuri Bedlaminov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Bedlaminov lands a really nice looking cross but Salgado seems unphased.
Salgado looks for a takedown but Bedlaminov sprawls well.

Salgado looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bedlaminov is fending him off so far but Salgado persists. Nope, Bedlaminov circles away and we're back to standing.

Bedlaminov connects with the punch.
The fighters circle momentarily. Bedlaminov darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Bedlaminov circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Salgado to the canvas! Salgado doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Bedlaminov keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yuri Bedlaminov!
