The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parks closes the distance and pushes Mahajan back into the cage.
Mahajan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mahajan has managed to clinch.
Parks fails to pull guard.
Parks is pressed up against the cage. Mahajan has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Parks down to the mat. Parks avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Parks is nestled in close to Mahajan, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Mahajan buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Mahajan cracks Parks with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mahajan shoots in and gets a takedown into Parks's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Parks is working an open guard so Mahajan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

It looked like Parks was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Mahajan.

Parks lands a couple of good shots and Mahajan has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Parks is trying to stick to Mahajan's back but Mahajan is turning into Parks. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Parks's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Mahajan.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Mahajan has momentary wrist control but Parks slips an elbow through the middle.

Mahajan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Parks working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Mahajan's head.

Parks has control of Mahajan's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mahajan regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Mahajan manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Mahajan throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Parks manages to pass to side control.
Mahajan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Parks wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
