Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jarvis Young!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shamil Kerimov!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Kerimov closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Young quickly recovers to half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kerimov in particular looking to stall.
Kerimov is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Young is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kerimov's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kerimov's back!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Young gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Kerimov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Young with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kerimov connects with a nice short shot to Young's temple.

Kerimov shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Young manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Young wants to control but Kerimov is having none of it.

Shamil Kerimov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Young has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kerimov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
