The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cassel tries for a takedown but Lodbrok sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Rodrik Cassel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cassel misses with a takedown attempt
and Lodbrok counters with a right hand to the body.
Lodbrok pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cassel shoots in looking for a takedown but Lodbrok manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cassel's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rodrik Cassel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lodbrok throws a nice outside leg kick.
Cassel shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lodbrok replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Cassel blocks it well.
Cassel rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Lodbrok counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Lodbrok lands a big right hand that sends Cassel crashing to the mat! Lodbrok stays standing though and waves Cassel back to his feet!

It looks like Rodrik Cassel has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lodbrok thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Cassel if he has to take too many more of those.
Oh Cassel is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cassel is breathing heavily.
Lodbrok throws an uppercut from hell that sends Cassel clean off his feet! He's out cold! Lodbrok stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
