Shlemenko's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Omarion Ft. Chris Brown & Jhene Aiko - Post To Be. Face comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Tyga - Real Deal kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Alexander Shlemenko has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Angel Face!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shlemenko moves into the clinch.
Shlemenko throws a punch but it's blocked by Face.
A frustrated look appears on Face's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Face is trying to break the clinch but Shlemenko is controlling him.
Shlemenko lands a left hand.
Face takes a shot to the head.
Nice body punch from Shlemenko - that landed with a thud.
Face working hard to break the clinch.
Shlemenko tries to work over Face's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Still in the clinch, Shlemenko scores with a nice short uppercut.

Shlemenko breaks the clinch.

Shlemenko lands a big uppercut and Face crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Face looks OK. Shlemenko waves Face back to his feet!


Face is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Shlemenko.
Face is still on wobbly legs! Can Shlemenko finish him?
Shlemenko swings for the body but Face moves out of range.
Face seems to have recovered his senses.

Shlemenko darts in and clinches Face up against the cage.
Face is trying to break free.
Shlemenko lands a knee to the body.
Shlemenko misses with a body punch.
Shlemenko lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Face is trying to break the clinch but Shlemenko has him pressed against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shlemenko using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Face has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Shlemenko lands a hook that snaps the head of Face backwards.
Face wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Shlemenko throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Face on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Face takes a shot to the head.
Shlemenko presses Face against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Shlemenko throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Face blocks it with crossed arms.
Shlemenko lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Shlemenko lands with a light punch inside.
Face takes a shot to the head.
Face is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Shlemenko keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Face's efforts to push away.
Stalling in the clinch from Shlemenko.
Shlemenko throws a knee to the head but misses.
Shlemenko doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A frustrated look appears on Face's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Shlemenko has Face pressed against the cage, preventing Face from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Shlemenko pulls Face into guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Shlemenko pulls Face in close to prevent any damage.
Face wants to stand and escape but instead Shlemenko has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Shlemenko controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Face looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Shlemenko puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Face can do anything to dispel that myth.
Face trying to control but Shlemenko postures up.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Face wants to improve his position but Shlemenko is controlling well.
Face is looking to escape.
Face wants to get back to full guard but Shlemenko has passed into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Shlemenko controls the position.

Shlemenko decides to stand back up.
Shlemenko misses with a body kick.
Face missing with a left hand there. Shlemenko was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Face misses the shot to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alexander Shlemenko dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Face tries to circle away but Shlemenko has him pinned against the cage.

Face is looking to break free of the clinch but Shlemenko has double underhooks.

Shlemenko jumps into guard, dragging Face to the mat.
Face must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Face wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Shlemenko's closed guard. He's half up but Shlemenko has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Shlemenko pivots and extends the arm, Face falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Shlemenko! Well done that man!
