Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ahmed Garner (ranked 5690 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Walker (ranked 5001 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ahmed Garner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andre Walker!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker misses with a jab, cross combination.
Walker misses with a body shot.
Garner throwing a counter right hand but Walker manages to avoid it.

Garner gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Garner looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Garner wants to sweep here but Walker controlling him for the moment.
Walker postures up and lands a big shot to Garner's brow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Garner is on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Walker manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Garner manages to get himself to full guard.


Garner is looking for a triangle but Walker pushes his legs off easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Garner wants to stand up but Walker is controlling him.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Walker's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Walker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Garner is proving hard to escape from.
Walker is pushing down on Garner's leg trying to pass to half guard. Garner is fighting to maintain full guard but Walker has managed to sneak the leg through.

Garner is trying to stand back up but Walker is controlling him
Garner could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Garner looking for submissions off his back.
Walker throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Walker wants to pass to mount but Garner is defending the position.
Walker seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Walker thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Garner wants to get back to his feet.
Walker not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Walker wants to take a breather but Garner is having none of it.

Garner looking for submissions off his back.
Walker trying to control the action but Garner is working from the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
A looping hook to the body misses from Walker. Garner does a little dance to reset his feet.
Garner swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Walker pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Walker.

Garner throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Walker looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Garner has one foot on Walker's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Garner shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Garner was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Walker throws Garner to one side and escapes!
Garner is breathing heavily.
Garner is looking to clinch but Walker is avoiding it.
Garner fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Walker throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Walker is looking to slow Garner down with leg kicks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andre Walker dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Walker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Garner closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
You can see the frustration on Walker's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Walker wants to get back to his feet but Garner drags him back down.
Garner throws a strike aimed at the side of Walker's head but Walker avoids it well.
Walker tries to improve position but can't.
Walker has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Walker struggling a bit here.
Walker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Garner tries to score with some ground and pound. Walker controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Walker tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Garner wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Walker is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Walker tries to escape but Garner is in control.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Walker struggling a bit here.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Walker throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Garner drives through with a takedown into guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Walker working a defensive guard here.
Walker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Walker throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Walker trying to keep a closed guard but Garner is proving a slippery customer.
Garner landing some decent shots from guard.
Garner cracks Walker with a solid left hand.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Walker manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Walker decides to pull guard.
Garner might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Walker is adopting a defensive guard.

Walker working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Garner doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Garner manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Garner working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Garner postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Walker looking to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Walker is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Garner defends well.
Walker trying to keep a closed guard but Garner is proving a slippery customer.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Walker tries to clinch there but Garner circles away.

Garner gets tackled into the cage by Walker. Walker maintains the clinch.

Walker has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Garner regains guard immediately.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Walker drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Garner dives on top into guard.

Garner postures up and lands a big shot to Walker's brow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ahmed Garner will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!



Walker closes the distance and pushes Garner back into the cage.

Garner scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Garner throws a big elbow that misses.
Garner scoring with punches to the head and body.
Garner scoring with some ground and pound.

Walker looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Garner passes into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Garner working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Garner working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Garner is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Walker has escaped the position, nice work there.

Walker is looking for a sweep.
Walker is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Garner is controlling him well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Check out the look on Garner's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Garner throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Garner thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Walker is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Walker is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Garner scores with a couple of nice shots.

Walker with the active half guard here but Garner passes nicely into side control.
Walker wants to control but Garner postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Walker is looking for a sweep.
Walker is still trying to improve position.

Garner is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Walker is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Walker tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Walker working to try and regain half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Walker keeps trying to improve his position.
Garner is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Garner jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Walker manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Garner swings around for an armbar but Walker sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Garner's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ahmed Garner showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Garner has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
