The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Welling scores with a hook to the body. Solonik takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Welling sends Solonik crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Welling is motioning to the referee to let Solonik up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

It looks like Gus Solonik has been cut.
Nice body punch from Solonik.
Solonik takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Welling misses with an uppercut.
Welling scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Solonik moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Solonik cracks Welling with a right hand to the side of the head.
Welling throws a jab when Solonik was well out of range.
Solonik was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Ryan Welling seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Welling throws a shot from downtown. Solonik moves away and avoids it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Solonik looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Welling works Solonik's body with a nice hook.

Welling cracks Solonik with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Welling has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Solonik to stand back up!

Welling has Solonik pressed against the cage, preventing Solonik from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Welling lands with a right to the head.

Solonik is rocked!
Welling tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Oh Solonik is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Welling lands a shot to the body.
Welling misses with some punches.
Welling swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Welling stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
A head punch on the inside from Welling fails to land.
Solonik seems to have got his legs back now.
Welling creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Solonik with a big uppercut! Solonik tries to clinch up but Welling pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Solonik to the mat! Solonik covers up and Welling unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
