The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kadmon tries to sprawl but Meyer drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Kadmon wants to stand back up but Meyer manages to pass into side control.
Kadmon is being controlled here.
Kadmon is looking for a sweep.
Kadmon is letting Meyer control him for a moment.
Meyer's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Kadmon wants to control but Meyer postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Meyer tries for a kimura but Kadmon is defending well.

Kadmon seems a little lost for a moment, as Meyer dominates the positioning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Meyer is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kadmon knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Meyer has control of Kadmon's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kadmon regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Meyer wants to control the pace but Kadmon is squirming around nicely.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kadmon can do anything to dispel that myth.

Meyer has control of Kadmon's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kadmon regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Meyer is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kadmon to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kadmon shrugs it off.

Kadmon tries to lock up and control but Meyer gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Kadmon is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Meyer is staying active.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Meyer takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

It looks like Jared Meyer has been cut.
Kadmon misses with the combination.
Meyer is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kadmon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A countering left hand to the body from Kadmon misses.
Kadmon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Meyer.
Meyer shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Kadmon to counter with a crisp jab.
Meyer slips a jab and a cross from Kadmon.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kadmon, as that shot connected.
Kadmon lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Kadmon digs a good body shot into Meyer's ribs.

Nice takedown defense from Kadmon. No joy for Meyer on that attempt.

Meyer wants to clinch but Kadmon slips to the side
and Kadmon counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Oooooh!!! Kadmon has knocked Meyer down with a huge combo! Kadmon steps away and waves a wobbly Meyer back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
