PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Three Dog (ranked 98 p4p, 16 weight class) and Leeland Lillard (ranked 686 p4p, 112 weight class). Dog's entrance music is Fallout. A fine choice. Leeland Lillard told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dog looks to land a right hand but Lillard moved out of range.
Lillard tries a quick counter leg kick but Dog is wise to it.
Lillard takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Dog uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lillard.
Dog's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Lillard connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dog scrambles back to his feet.
Lillard bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Dog's head backwards.

Lillard works Dog's body with a nice hook.
Lillard fakes the leg kick and cracks Dog in the body.
Dog looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Lillard throws a hook to the side of Dog's head but Dog sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
It looked like Dog was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Lillard.

Dog looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Lillard feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Dog sprawling to the canvas! Dog rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Lillard finish him?!

Lillard cracks Dog with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Lillard has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Dog to stand back up!

Lillard drops Dog with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Dog! Lillard dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
