Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Link Gaetz (ranked 92 p4p, 7 weight class) and JR Adams Junior (ranked 161 p4p, 15 weight class). Adams Junior has chosen Looking for the Stone as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams Junior closes the distance and clinches up with Gaetz, looking for a takedown. Adams Junior pushes Gaetz against the cage but Gaetz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Gaetz swings for the body but Adams Junior moves out of range.
Adams Junior swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Adams Junior keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
We've been told by Gaetz's head coaches at Guerrilla MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Adams Junior throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Adams Junior on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Adams Junior is defended easily by Gaetz.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gaetz moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Adams Junior shoots in for a takedown but Gaetz shows good takedown defense.

Link Gaetz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of JR Adams Junior.
Gaetz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Adams Junior moves away.
Adams Junior shoots in looking for a takedown but Gaetz manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Adams Junior's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A quick step to the side and Gaetz tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Adams Junior throws a push kick but Gaetz slaps the foot to one side.
Gaetz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Gaetz fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Adams Junior on the side of the head.
Gaetz connects with a solid leg kick.
Link Gaetz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Adams Junior counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Gaetz down! Adams Junior is looking to finish but Gaetz is intelligently defending himself.

Gaetz is looking to stand up but Adams Junior isn't so interested in that idea.

Gaetz is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Gaetz misses with a hook to the ribs.

Adams Junior gets control of Gaetz's arms and successfully pulls guard. Adams Junior will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Gaetz wants to stand but Adams Junior has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Adams Junior drops his hands momentarily and Gaetz takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
JR Adams Junior seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gaetz fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Adams Junior smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Gaetz throws a monster overhand right that drops Adams Junior! Gaetz follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
