Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Krejzi Kure (ranked 6583 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chinggis Khaan (ranked 3057 p4p, 0 weight class). Kure comes to the cage accompanied by BIG SHUG - who's hard. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Krejzi Kure!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chinggis Khaan!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khaan walks into a stiff left hand from Kure.
Kure tries to bum rush Khaan with a series of wild strikes but Khaan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Khaan lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.


It looks like Krejzi Kure has been cut.
Kure fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Chinggis Khaan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Khaan shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kure manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Kure is pulling down on Khaan's head to control his posture.
Khaan trying to control but Kure is working from the bottom.
Khaan with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Kure is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Khaan sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Kure is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Kure escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Khaan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kure tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kure seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Khaan stands and throws Kure's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Khaan looks up at the clock and then as Kure takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Khaan smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Khaan lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Kure down.


Kure is rocked!
Khaan scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Kure is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Khaan can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chinggis Khaan!
Chinggis Khaan seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
