PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cyborg Silva (ranked 1062 p4p, 170 weight class) and Hans Byyler (ranked 1491 p4p, 231 weight class). Byyler comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kube - Who run it (freestyle) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hans Byyler!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Byyler throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Byyler looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Silva missing with a left hand there. Byyler was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Silva looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Byyler plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

It looks like Cyborg Silva has been cut.
Silva throws a jab but it's blocked by Byyler.
A looping hook to the body misses from Silva. Byyler does a little dance to reset his feet.

Byyler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Hans Byyler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Byyler closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

The fight stays on the outside here - Byyler looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Byyler uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Silva.

Silva fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Byyler looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Byyler lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Silva takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Byyler tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Silva circles away from the clinch attempt.
Silva looks to throw the jab but Byyler is out of range.
Silva fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Byyler manages to avoid it.
Silva looks to land a left hand but Byyler moved out of range nicely.
The fighters circling - Byyler throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Byyler moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Silva stuns Byyler with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Cyborg Silva is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Byyler ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silva moves away.
Byyler misses with a jab to the body
and Silva counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Byyler takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Silva sends Byyler crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Silva is motioning to the referee to let Byyler up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

A little feinted left hand from Silva on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Silva throws a pinpoint strike between Byyler's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Byyler crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Silva scores a great knockout victory!

In his post fight interview, Cyborg Silva started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
