PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Street Fighter (ranked 9 p4p, 2 weight class) and Koh Ibu (ranked 15 p4p, 3 weight class). Fighter comes to the ring accompanied by You Know How I Do It. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Koh Ibu!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Phil Schofield and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ibu connects with the punch.
Fighter swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Fighter checks a leg kick.
Fighter swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Ibu cracks the inside of Fighter's front leg.
Ibu lands with a thumping leg kick.
Ibu dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Fighter. That did some damage!
Ibu buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Ibu has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Fighter jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Ibu lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Fighter stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ibu.

Fighter connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ibu's hands.

Ibu connects with a leg kick. Fighter looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Fighter avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Ibu scores with a crisp jab that stopped Fighter in his tracks.
Fighter walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Ibu lands with a hook. Fighter tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Ibu ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Ibu throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Fighter on the side of the head.

Ibu throws a looping overhand right but Fighter ducks down to avoid it.
Ibu ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ibu is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Fighter had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Ibu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fighter manages to avoid it.

A telegraphed right hand from Ibu misses the target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Ibu's jab looks to have found its range, popping Fighter under the eye.

As Ibu backs away, Fighter returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Fighter fakes the body blow, causing Ibu to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Ibu goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
