Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Junkyard Dog (ranked 567 p4p, 82 weight class) and Mad Dog Iii (ranked 542 p4p, 77 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Mad Dog Iii enters the ring!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Junkyard Dog!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mad Dog Iii!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dog Iii tries to sprawl but Dog drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Dog passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Dog Iii!
Dog Iii wants to control but Dog is having none of it.
Dog postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dog Iii looks a forlorn figure.

Dog Iii is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Dog is staying active.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Dog is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dog Iii defends well.
Dog has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dog Iii got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dog has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dog Iii has managed to get both his arms back between Dog's legs - danger averted.

Dog is looking for a kimura but Dog Iii is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dog to get the leverage.

Dog Iii lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

I would just about give that final round to Mad Dog Iii.
