Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pavel Savkov (ranked 404 p4p, 60 weight class) and Bonerz McGee (ranked 414 p4p, 61 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGee throws the kick towards the body but Savkov avoids it.
McGee paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
McGee misses with a leg kick.

Savkov scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Savkov working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

McGee felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Savkov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McGee gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

McGee is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Savkov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time McGee.

Savkov is looking for a sweep. McGee is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Savkov has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for McGee. Oh but Savkov has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! McGee goes limp - he's gone! Savkov jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
