Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between French Fried (ranked 3169 p4p, 258 weight class) and Ted Lewis (ranked 3375 p4p, 272 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fried takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

and Fried holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

No joy there for Lewis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

It looks like Ted Lewis has been cut.
Lewis drops his hands momentarily and Fried takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Fried has taken the fight to the clinch.
Lewis is trying to force a seperation but Fried has the dominant position.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Lewis has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Fried dips a shoulder and cracks Lewis with a mighty uppercut! Lewis falls back against the cage and Fried unloads with a barrage of strikes! Lewis is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Fried screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

French Fried took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
