Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Billy Ballbag (ranked 5531 p4p, 480 weight class) and Ethan Solomon (ranked 5647 p4p, 0 weight class). Ballbag comes to the cage accompanied by Break Stuff. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Billy Ballbag!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ethan Solomon!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Darius Henderson and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solomon shoots in looking for a takedown. Ballbag tries to sprawl out of it but Solomon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ballbag manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ballbag throws a lazy uppercut
and Ballbag takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ballbag loads up on a big right hand but Solomon slips the punch.
Billy Ballbag seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ballbag has closed the distance and engaged Solomon in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Solomon tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Ballbag avoids it.

A head punch on the inside from Ballbag fails to land.

and Solomon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Solomon fails with the takedown
and Ballbag counters with a low kick, right behind Solomon 's knee.
Solomon feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ballbags jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Ballbag clinches with his opponent.
Ballbag manages to break the clinch.
Ballbag stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Ballbag takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Ballbag digs a good body shot into Solomon's ribs.

Ballbag throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Solomon to counter with a crisp jab.
Solomon walks into a stiff left hand from Ballbag.
Solomon misses with a jab, cross combination.
Solomon takes one to the chin there.
Ballbag misses with a hook
so Solomon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

and Solomon counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ballbag takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ballbag tries to clinch up but Solomon circles away and keeps his distance.
We've been informed that Solomon has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Ballbag tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Solomon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Ballbag tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Solomon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Solomon tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

and Solomon counters with a shoot takedown. Ballbag fights it but they end up in guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Solomon sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ballbag's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Ethan Solomon will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Ballbag's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Ballbag fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Solomon has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

And Solomon tries to counter it with a takedown but Ballbag pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Ballbag takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Ballbag's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ballbag fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Solomon on the side of the head.
Solomon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ballbag was covering up waiting for the punch and Solomon finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Solomon wants to control from the top but Ballbag keeps moving.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Solomon pushes down on Ballbag's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Solomon thows a huge punch but Ballbag dodges it nicely.
Solomon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ballbag is just riding it out for now. Solomon eventually gives up the hold.
Solomon is trying to control. Ballbag wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Ballbag is not content to let Solomon control the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Solomon is working for a submission of some sort.
Solomon is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ballbag doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Solomon.
Solomon seems to be working for a kimura but Ballbag defends the submission attempt.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Solomon is keen to just control but Ballbag is a slippery customer.
And that's the end of the fight!
Ethan Solomon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Solomon has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
