Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Drew Sexton (ranked 21995 p4p, 0 weight class) and Katuro Tisoaka (ranked 3513 p4p, 0 weight class). Tisoaka has chosen Festivo as his entrance music. Drew Sexton has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Drew Sexton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Katuro Tisoaka!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tisoaka closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Sexton quickly recovers to half guard.

Tisoaka seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
It looks like Tisoaka might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sexton swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Tisoaka moves in looking to clinch but Sexton pushes him off.

Tisoaka closes the distance and clinches up with Sexton, looking for a takedown. Tisoaka pushes Sexton against the cage but Sexton circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Drew Sexton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Drew Sexton will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

That was a close second round but I would say that Drew Sexton will probably get the nod.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sexton, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
