The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romero misses with a lunging right hand
and Bamboo Face holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Romero's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Bamboo Face lands with a light punch inside.
Bamboo Face lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Romero is trying to pull guard but Bamboo Face has him pressed against the cage.
Bamboo Face works on Romero's body with a couple of short punches.
I was talking to Romero's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
A short body shot lands from Bamboo Face as the two fighters clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Romero jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bamboo Face walks away with a smile on his face. Romero gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Bamboo Face rushes Romero and presses him up against the cage.

Romero stalling in the clinch but Bamboo Face improves position.
Romero tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bamboo Face just stands there and leans against the cage.

Romero is looking to control Bamboo Face's arms but Bamboo Face gets an underhook and turns him. Now Romero has his back to the cage.
Bamboo Face lands a right hand that snaps the head of Romero backwards.
Bamboo Face lands a left hand that snaps the head of Romero backwards.
Bamboo Face creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Romero's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Romero drops to his knees and Bamboo Face pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
