Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Masakazu Aoki (ranked 2814 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ma Moru (ranked 6821 p4p, 267 weight class). Moru is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by slam dunk opening theme song. Ma Moru is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moru tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Moru throws a jab when Aoki was well out of range.
Moru's coach down at Kalashnikov ELITE MMA Gym ($825/Week) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Moru's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Aoki shoots in but Moru avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Moru steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Aoki.
Moru throws a jab but it's blocked by Aoki.
A clash of legs there as Aoki blocks the low kick.

Aoki shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Moru is trying to defend but Aoki finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Moru pushes Aoki off looking to stand but Aoki dives back in and keeps control.

Aoki is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Moru tries to kick Aoki off but Aoki keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Aoki in particular looking to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moru won't allow Aoki to pass to mount.
