PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kira Miyata (ranked 843 p4p, 96 weight class) and Phat Ho (ranked 789 p4p, 88 weight class). Miyata comes to the cage accompanied by Boa - Energetic. Ho is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Deep Purple - Smoke on the Water. Phat Ho acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miyata shoots in for a double leg but Ho sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Miyata takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Miyata fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ho looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ho lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Miyata has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Miyata and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Miyata is looking to work some ground and pound but Ho has wrist control.
Ho is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ho is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Miyata makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Miyata.

Ho slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Ho slips nicely into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ho in particular looking to stall.
Ho is keen to just control but Miyata is a slippery customer.
Ho works his way into side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Miyata tries to improve position but can't.
Ho happy to just control the position for now.
Miyata manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Ho perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Ho seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Miyata does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Miyata moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Ho's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Ho advances to half guard.

Well Ho has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
