PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Quick (ranked 3931 p4p, 490 weight class) and Chief Wolf (ranked 3756 p4p, 470 weight class). Chief Wolf told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Quick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Wolf!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wolf shoots in but Quick avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Quick looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Wolf dips to his left and cracks Quick with an uppercut!
Wolf blocks a head kick by Quick.
Wolf shoots in looking for a takedown. Quick tries to sprawl out of it but Wolf keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Quick manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Quick lands a really nice looking cross but Wolf seems unphased.
Wolf avoids the head kick by Quick.
Quick throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Wolf on the side of the head.
Wolf takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Wolf has a takedown stuffed.
Mike Quick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chief Wolf.
Quick walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Wolf drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Quick swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Wolf's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Quick!
