The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makunouchi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bennit gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Makunouchi counters with a nice body shot.

Makunouchi closes the distance and clinches.

Makunouchi breaks from the clinch.
Bennit stuffs the takedown attempt from Makunouchi. Makunouchi gets slowly back to his feet.
Bennit shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Makunouchi defends it nicely.

Bennit fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Makunouchi avoids it really well and circles away.
